Telling stories

Call me an old carmugeon but I have issues with the regular involvement in the school of evangelical Christians. I find it hard enough that my daughter brings home books of stories from a patrirchal, warring society based in the middle east two centuries ago which bear no relation whatsoever to her life and simply serve to fill her head with bizarre narratives but I find it unacceptable when these stories are perpetrated through apparently innocent games and activities.

This is not simply well meaning people who happen to hold a set of beliefs different from my own. This is the systematic and calculated attempt to indoctrinate childredn into a religious view, the success of which know doubt earns the evangelicals all sorts of brownie points and an assured entry into some future existence which of course will be full of all sorts of wonders which this fallen world knows little of.
