Little did you, or I for that matter, realize at the time that in fact my rant about coffee was closely related to my rant about process and was not against Starbucks or guys in suits but against against the abuse of language as a source of power.

Someone appears to be smarter, more knowledgeable and therefore more powerful than me by using a new and obscure word to describe something of which I have everyday experience. A black coffee becomes a "tall Americano", the sequence in which I do stuff day in and day out becomes "a process", and by not keeping up with this morphing of language I am seen to be less hip, less current, less important.

This is why folksonomies appeal to me more than taxonomies and why words matter.
