I'd like to make clear up front that I am no Dr. Who nut.
I watched it, and enjoyed it, as a kid but haven't seen all of the recent series and wasn't that bothered about it.
However I am sitting here watching a documentary about Russell T. Davies, the writer of the latest manifestation of Dr.Who, and it has made it so clear to me why my wife and I sat there last Saturday with tears in our eyes as the last Dalek ended himself.
He says at one point in the documentary that if he can pass on the wonder of stories and of television to another generation of six year olds in the same way that the original Dr.Who did to him then it would be the most wonderful thing.
As a father of a four year old and a seven year old - you did Russell - you did!
