I have often said that the same is true inside businesses as well. Social computing tends to appeal to the under-represented whether by dint of being new, marginal, by-passed or yes - plain wacky. But if you believe in innovation and change, and that these are critical success factors for business, then these are the very people from whom change is more likely to come and making the process faster and easier has got to be worthwhile - until they become the next establishment that is!
