Innovation killed by process

I just wrote the following in an e-mail interview on social computing and I kind of liked it:

Innovation invariably comes out of disaffection with the status quo and rarely happens in isolation. Having a platform on which people can surface issues, identify what needs improved AND have an incredible ability to work out how to do next is truly revolutionary. Innovation becomes possible whenever and wherever the right combination of need and solution arises without being killed stone dead by process.
