I was lucky enough to meet up with Paul Youlten of Yellowikis the other day on the advisory board for School Of Everything on which we both sit. If you don't know of Paul and Yellowikis he is the guy who, along with his daughter, thought of using wikis for business listings and rather wound yell.com up in the process!
The point of this post is not to raise old stories so much as to say that meeting Paul re-inforced a conversation I had with David Weinberger at KM World in San Jose the other week. I was saying to David that one of the greatest pleasures of my new career is that I am meeting almost exclusively nice, interesting people.
It seems that those who are drawn to social computing as a way of doing things tend to be easy going folks who like a chat and see the world as a connected sort of place. Great people to do business with!
