For some time I have been getting increasingly annoyed when people try to quell my enthusiasm for the revolutionary power of the web by saying that is all very well for us in the west to crow about its possibilities - what about people in the third world and the digital divide. I tell them not to be so complacent. Mobile telephony is cheaper to implement in rural communities and take up is already growing at a furious rate in Africa and India. Once they have access to the network then people with good ideas are equal the world over.
Thanks to Ndiyo! this principle just took a huge leap forward
